The Bern Band was originally formed in May of 2006 and is the collaborative effort of childhood friends Brendan Hackett and David Trump. Hackett, a veteran songwriter, and Trump, a talented multi-instrumentalist and producer, have been crafting original songs for more than 20 years. They recorded the EP “Band Hand” under the moniker Brendan and The Bandelero.
The EP captures the confluence of the end of Seattle Alternative Rock and the beginning of the harmonic-based rock that has since been supplanted on the Pacific-Northwest rock scene.
